I grew up in a small city in The Netherlands, and moved to Amsterdam when I started my bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). During my bachelor's, I spent one semester at the University of Edinburgh studying Astrophysics. After that, I went on to do my master's in Theoretical Physics in Amsterdam, and graduated in 2018.

In the Fall of 2018, I started my PhD at SISSA under the supervision of Prof. Barausse in the Astroparticle Physics (APP) group.

 

In my research, I'm mainly interested in alternative models of gravity, and investigating what we can learn about beyond the standard model physics (both particle and cosmology) from gravitational waves.
